Sumathi Valavu praised as a decent horror comedy

Years after her tragic murder by a tribal group, the ghost of Sumathi, a pregnant Tamil woman, has been guarding a menacing curve in a far-flung town. The audience is then introduced to Appu, a frightened youngster who is plagued by this entity's visions. If Appu and his community could ever escape her outrage is the primary subject of the movie.

The true narrative of Sumathi Valavu, which is based on a local mythology that is circulating in Trivandrum and is based on people's actual experiences with an eerie presence, served as some inspiration for the movie. Vishnu Sasi Shankar directed this horror comedy, which has a story developed by Abhilash Pillai. Supporting parts in Sumathi Valavu are played by Balu Varghese, Gokul Suresh, Saiju Kurup, Malavika Manoj, Siddharth Bharathan, Bobby Kurian, Bhama, Nandu and Shravan Mukesh.
