Pictures from Ananya Panday’s cousin Alanna Panday’s pre-wedding festivities went viral on the internet recently, as several Bollywood celebrities were spotted at the venue in Mumbai. Her haldi ceremony was hosted at Sohail Khan’s house, and it was attended by Suniel Shetty, Alvira Khan, Atul Agnihotri, Aaliyah Kashyap, Chunky Panday and Nandita Mahtani, Bhavana Panday, Bobby Deol, Tanya Deol, among others. The social media influencer is all set to marry American filmmaker Ivor McCray on March 16 in a white whisper-themed wedding.

While the pictures and videos from Alanna’s mehendi ceremony are doing the rounds on social media, Ananya is facing backlash after a clip surfaced online, in which she was spotted smoking a cigarette at the event. The original photo was shared by Ivor on his Instagram story, which was later taken down. Netizens flogged the internet with screenshots of the original picture and trolled the actor for publicly smoking. Fans commented on the post, saying, “Meri Ananya aisi nahi ho sakti”, while others defended her saying, “Now, everyone will call her a druggie”.

Earlier this week, Ananya turned showstopper for Manish Malhotra, flaunting his latest collection ‘Diffuse’ at Lakme Fashion Week. She walked the ramp with rumoured boyfriend Aditya Roy Kapur.

On the work front, Ananya will be seen alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gaurav in her upcoming release, and has also teamed with Ayushmann Khurrana for Dream Girl 2.
