Suniel Shetty, who is currently the face of the business show Bharat Ke Super Founders, has shown an interest in adapting the book, Black Scorpion: To Hell and Back. The chapters focus on Mumbai’s underworld operative Shyam Kishore Garikapati, who was active from 1980s to 1990s. The actor-entrepreneur hopes to turn the story into a web series. Yes, Suniel Shetty is actively looking to adapt the book Black Scorpion into a web series. Co-author Calvin Joshua confirmed the development to Mid-Day by stating, “When Suniel Anna read the synopsis, he was fascinated by the arc. He decided to not only unveil the book, but also pursue the rights to adapt it into a series.” A source further shared, “He likes such subjects. What makes the story more interesting is how Garikapati — known in the police circles as Black Scorpion — turned his life around after meeting top cop Kiran Bedi in Tihar Jail and eventually became a businessman.”

Further, the report suggests that the actor hopes to play the lead role of Garikpati, addressed as Black Scorpion. Suniel Shetty is also likely to explore how the operative almost joined Indian Air Force, but was sent to Tihar jail for reformation instead after finding himself involved in underworld gang wars, and eventually turned into a businessman.
