Now that Sunny Deol has a clearer verdict on his movie Jaat, the actor has moved on and is working on his next film, Border 2. The Gadar 2 actor started the shoot for Border 2 in Dehradhun and shared an Instagram story to confirm the same. The news comes three weeks after Jaat's theatrical release. Sunny Deol begins Border 2 shoot

Sunny Deol shared the picturesque views of Dehradhun with his Instagram fans. "Reached Border shooting wild weather and beautiful sunset in Dehradhun," he captioned one of the videos. The actor is shooting for the movie alongside Badlapur actor Varun Dhawan currently.

Jaat Box Office collection

Sunny Deol's Jaat has managed to earn Rs. 85 crore net. The movie has crossed Rs. 100 crore mark worldwide last week, thus setting the trend of movies entering the club after second weekend. This week, Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2 minted Rs. 100 crore worldwide after its second weekend. The Box Office collections of Jaat have slowed down since last week and continues to show the downward trend after facing competition from Kesari 2, Salman Khan's Sikandar, Emraan Hashmi's Ground Zero, Pratik Gandhi's Phule and most of all, the re-release of Salman-Aamir Khan's cult classic Andaz Apna Apna.

More about Border 2

Helmed by Kesari 1 director Anurag Singh, Border 2 is reportedly inspired from the 1999 Kargil War. The original film was based on the 1971 India-Pakistan partition and the consecutive war. Border 2, meanwhile, also stars Diljit Dosanjh and reportedly, Suniel Shetty's son Ahaan Shetty has also been roped in for the movie. Shetty senior was a part of the original ensemble cast. JP Dutta, who had helmed the original movie, is producing the sequel along with T-Series. Border 2 is scheduled for January 23, 2026 release in Indian theatres.
