Mollywood star Suresh Gopi will be resuming shooting for Joshiy’s crime drama Paappan from next week. The movie, which also has Nyla Usha, Kaniha and Gokul Suresh in pivotal roles, had shot majority of the portions last year.

The upcoming schedule of the movie will also be its final one, with the team expecting to complete work in a fortnight. The earlier schedules had portions of Suresh Gopi in his elder get-up as retired police officer Abraham Mathew. The next schedule, according to a report in Can Channels, will have the actor shooting the flashback portions of his character.

The film, which is scripted by RJ Shaan, will reportedly have Suresh Gopi’s character coming back from retirement to investigate a case. Suresh Gopi will reportedly be seen without a beard for the flashback portions in the film. The actor was also seen in two get-ups in his recent release Kaaval, which was directed by Nithin Renji Panicker and is currently streaming on Netflix.

Nyla Usha, Shammi Thilakan and actress Muktha’s daughter Kiara will also be part of the upcoming schedule of Paapan that will be shot in Varapuzha. The film, which also has Sunny Wayne, Asha Sharath, Jewel Mary, Chandhunadh and Tini Tom, also marks the first time Suresh Gopi will be sharing screen space with son Gokul.

Jakes Bejoy is the music director of Paappan, which marks the reunion of Joshiy and Suresh Gopi seven years after their previous collaboration Salaam Kashmier.

Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi is also awaiting the release of his Tamil film titled Thamezharasan, which has Vijay Antony in the lead. The actor is also part of Mathew Thomas Plammoottil’s Ottakomban and has Rahul Ramachandran’s thriller coming up this year.
