Producer KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green is quite upbeat about his upcoming project Suriya 42. He revealed that it is the costliest movie in Tamil superstar Suriya's career.

Gnanavel is now busy promoting his upcoming production venture Pathu Thala, starring Simbu . And he described Suriya 42 as Tamil cinema's response to the biggest nationwide blockbusters from the Kannada and the Telugu film industries. "The audience saw KGF from the Kannada film industry. In the Telugu film industry, there were Baahubali and RRR. Suriya 42 is our effort to make a movie that is an answer to these movies in terms of scale and content. That's why we are very calculative and we are making sure no stills are leaked," he added.

Suriya 42 is the working title of the movie. And the producer said the official title will be revealed soon. "The title and release date announcement will happen in two weeks. In May, we are releasing the teaser. And that teaser will give people an idea about the film's scale," he added.

Suriya 42 caught the imagination of movie-goers across India when the filmmakers released the movie's concept teaser. The motion poster showed an eagle gliding across a battlefield overrun by battle horses and warriors and that bird finally settles on the shoulders of a warlord, who's armed to the teeth. The poster suggested a fantasy drama against a feudal backdrop. The excitement around this movie is so much that it is said to have already made more than Rs 500 crore in its non-theatrical revenue .

Director Siva is writing and directing this big-budget movie.
