The first edition of the music show Telugu Indian Idol, that streamed on aha, was a roaring success, especially for unearthing some of the finest singing talents in and beyond Telugu states and the country as well. The show was hosted by musician Sreerama Chandra while S Thaman, Karthik and Nithya Menen were the judges. The show is returning for second season on aha this weekend.

Telugu Indian Idol 2 has undergone a makeover with the format, host and the lineup of judges. While singer Hemachandra is the host of the show, Geetha Madhuri has come in place of Nithya Menen with S Thaman and Karthik continuing their association with the show. Ahead of the premiere of the first episode, a special singing marathon was organised at Prasad Labs today.

The marathon, which lasted for over five hours, was organised by popular music guru Komanduri Ramachari along with budding singers from the latter’s Little Musicians Academy. The event was a feast for music enthusiasts where the singers left the audience spellbound with their renditions. The attempt to pay an ode to the power of music paid off and how!

Expressing his happiness about organising the musical marathon, Ramachari called Telugu Indian Idol a game changer in the music industry. “We were witness to extraordinary singing talents in the first season of the show and I am happy to be a part of its launch event for the second season. I can’t wait to watch the contestants of Telugu Indian Idol 2 and it’s a fantastic platform for emerging singers to prove their worth,” he said.

aha has been extensively promoting the show over the last few weeks across the Telugu states and there’s every reason to believe that the second season will be bigger and better. Telugu Indian Idol 2’s first episode is landing on aha at 7 pm tonight.
