Telugu series Rambo in Love announced: Cast, OTT platform, and other details here

The Telugu OTT space is booming with back-to-back projects. Several filmmakers and production houses are showing interest in making web series and OTT original films at a rapid pace over the last few years. Keerthy Suresh’s latest film, Uppu Kapurambu, is now streaming on Amazon Prime. ETV Win’s latest series, All India Rankers, has clocked record views in no time.

Rambo in Love is a new age corporate comedy

Joining the elite list is JioHotstar, which has now announced a new Telugu OTT show titled Rambo in Love. Generally, Hotstar is known for making gripping dramas and thrillers in the Telugu OTT space, but after a long gap, it is back with a romantic comedy featuring mostly newcomers.

The first-look poster of Rambo in Love was released and it looks quite vibrant. The series is a romantic comedy and has been directed by Ajith Reddy. The shooting of the series has been wrapped up, and post-production formalities are currently underway.

Going by the poster, Rambo in Love is about the character of Rambo, who falls in love with his boss, working in a corporate office. The series stars Payal Chengappa, Abhinav Manikanta, Kavya Achu, Nandu Bhargav, Pavan Yatagani, Appaji Ambarisha, and Keshav Deepak in lead roles. Most of these actors are newcomers and have not done much work on OTT.

Rambo in Love has music by Saran Raghavan and will consist of seven episodes in total. One of the sources close to the unit revealed to us that the series will be high on comedy and romance.

In the past, JioHotstar produced Miss Perfect, a romantic drama starring Lavanya Tripathi. On the other hand, Devika and Danny marked the OTT debut of Ritu Varma and her role in the series was highly appreciated. After a long gap, Hitstar has returned with Rambo in Love, a crazy comedy.

The source goes on to add that Hotstar is aiming to attract a more youthful audience, which is why it is producing more youth-centric content, and Rambo in Love is a part of that strategy. In the days to come, the streaming date will be announced by Hotstar in a special event in Hyderabad.  For now, the poster looks interesting, and let’s see what this young team has up their sleeve. Stay tuned for more updates on this.
