Actor Samuthirakani, promoting his web series Thadayam, confirms his return to the Vada Chennai world in Arasan, calling Vetrimaaran’s narration magical

Actor and director Samuthirakani, who is currently promoting the release of his first web series Thadayam, talked about his return to the Vada Chennai universe through the upcoming film Arasan, on the sidelines of promoting Thadayam. Keep reading to know what he said about Arasan.

Arasan is one of the upcoming Tamil films starring Silambarasan in the lead role and directed by Vetrimaaran. It is no secret that the film is part of the Vada Chennai universe, and will feature some actors from the Dhanush-starrer in the crossover portions of the story.
Actor Samuthirakani, who played Guna in Vada Chennai, affirmed his presence in Arasan while promoting Thadayam. In a conversation with Cinema Express, Samuthirakani said all of them are part of the crime drama. While he dodged an important question by saying he does not know if there will be scenes involving Dhanush and Silambarasan, Samuthirakani affirmed that there will be 'magic' in Arasan. The director-actor also said that Vetrimaaran's narration was completely different and that Arasan is shaping up well and requires much effort.
Arasan is a gangster action drama, with actors like Vijay Sethupathi, Andrea Jeremiah, Yogalakshmi of Tourist Family fame, already onboard the project. The release date is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, as you wait for Arasan, you can stream Samuthirakani’s crime drama series Thadayam soon on ZEE5. The six-episode series will stream from February 27 onwards, and subscribers of OTTplay Premium can also watch the series. Written and directed by Navinkumar Palanivel, the series also features Sshivada, Raj Tirandas, Munnar Ramesh, Sundharpandyan, Prem, Kotravai, Vishakan, Pulipandi, Abhishek Joseph George, Ravichandran, Karthi, Suparna, and Dayalan.
The series is set in the 90s Tamil Nadu-Andhra Pradesh border where a series of killings take place, with the sacred symbols of marriage are stolen by the culprits, leaving the police wonder their motive.
