Ever since Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj announced their reunion with Thalapathy67 , social media has been rife with one speculation after another. While there was a strong buzz that Sanjay Dutt was to play the baddie in the film and Trisha as the leading lady, there has been rumours about the film being part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) as well. The idea of LCU became popular since Lokesh Kanagaraj's last outing Vikram incorporated characters from his earlier movies. And now, there's a strong buzz that Suriya will be back as his popular badass character Rolex from Vikram.

Earlier, Suriya had liked a post where Trisha was talking about Thalapathy67, which added fuel to the fire. The character Rolex, which was only a 4-minute- cameo, turned out to be one of the most iconic characters of Vikram. The character heads the drug syndicate and Suriya's special appearance became the talk of the town. Fans even termed him Kollywood's most deadliest villain ever. Kamal Haasan, who was mighty impressed by Suriya, had even gifted a Rolex watch to the actor. And now, fans are wondering if there are any chances of the character being incorporated in Thalapathy67 as well as the film is said to be part of the LCU.

If Suriya indeed gets on board, it would be interesting to see Vijay and Suriya getting together after a long hiatus. The duo had earlier worked together in films like Nerukku Ner (19970 and Friends (2001). Both the films opened to positive reviews and the albums were a huge hit. It is to be noted that Trisha, too, had made her debut as a lead actress opposite Suriya in Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002). In the meantime, the shoot for Thalapathy67 is going in full swing. Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay had earlier worked together in Master, which turned out to be a massive hit.
