Thammudu, the 2025 Telugu film starring actor Nithiin in the lead role and written and directed by Venu Sriram, is all set to make its way onto a streaming platform. We have already reported that Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film, and you can stream Thammudu from August 1 onwards. The film will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages, along with English subtitles.

Thammudu is an action drama headlined by actor Nithiin. Produced by Dil Raju and helmed by Venu Sriram who also wrote the film, Thammudu stars Sapthami Gowda, Laya and Varsha Bollamma, among others.

The film was released in theatres on July 4, and after its theatrical run, will premiere on Netflix on August 1. The film will stream in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The film revolves around a brother and sister who get separated during childhood, and how years later the siblings get together through circumstances, setting off a trail of emotions and action. It is a story of a young man who goes to rescue his sister, a government official kidnapped in a forest. How he brings back his sister and tackles a deadly case is the basic story of the film. With music by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, the film is shot by cinematographers KV Guhan, Sameer Reddy and Satyajit Pande.

What is Nithiin’s next project?

Thammudu did not perform well at the box office, which has lowered the anticipations on Nithiin’s next. However, the actor is currently focused on his next film, which is titled Yellamma. The film is helmed by Venu Yeldandi, who made the award-winning film Balagam.

With the pre-productions almost over and the project set to go on floors, the makers are looking to wrap up shooting soon. The team is planning to release the film early next year, in 2026. More details on the project are yet to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
