Thandakaaranyam is set to release in theatres on September 19, alongside Kavin’s romantic drama Kiss and political thriller Shakthi Thirumagan.

Thandakaaranyam revolves around the lives of the indigenous communities who live in forests, and how they often face the brunt of oppression from the officials and government. When a young man aspiring to be part of the uniformed services get into it, he realises that the officials are scheming a larger scandal.

The trailer begins makes it clear that the film will talk about the forest folks and how they are oppressed in their own land by higher officials. Kalaiyarasan plays the role of a man employed in military services, but his life is no lesser. Thandakaaranyam trailer shows the pain of people whose power is taken away from them, and what happens when a man is employed from there. Filled with rage, pain, and social commentary on those in power, the film is expected to come with a strong message.
