The Great Indian Kapil Show season 4 grand finale’s biggest highlight was Sunil Grover getting into the character of Kader Khan. The actor reprised the role of Khurana from David Dhawan’s 1999 film, Saajan Chale Sasural. The scene, of course, was of him trying every way that her daughter’s boyfriend stays away from her. The segment, also a part of the announcement video, was a highlight since Kiku Sharda, also in character, ended up asking him, “Idhar aao, udhar jao – kyun aao jao?” Sunil Grover took a dig as he stated, “Main chahta hoon tumhaare 10,000 steps poore ho jaaye.”

Varun Dhawan clearly thoroughly enjoyed watching Sunil Grover reprise Kader Khan. He made it very clear when the actor shared the video of the same on Instagram story and wrote, “It's not mimicry when you embody the soul.”

What did David Dhawan feel like after watching Sunil Grover’s Kader Khan act?

David Dhawan, on the other hand, got emotional since he was transported back in time. With a lump in his throat yet a smile on his face, he simply stated, “Kader bhai ki yaad aa gayi.”

Sunil Grover as a performer received praises, for most believe that at this point, he deserves a show of his own where he can portray every character. For the unversed, he did start his career doing exactly that, but the actor, recognized for his Aamir Khan mimicry recently, followed by the Kader Khan act, has come back into spotlight.

There is no update on The Great Indian Kapil Show being revived for season 5 at this point of time, but an official announcement is expected within a few months. Whether that will be the time when Sunil Grover finally brings back Dr. Gulati and Gutthi, among others, remains to be seen.
