The Kashmir Files

The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, has become one of the most profitable films of the past decade. The film has proved to be a success at the box office. Within four days of its release on March 11, it has collected Rs 47.85 crore at the box office.

Despite having big films like Radhe Shyam releasing during the same time, The Kashmir Files seem to have outperformed with its real incident-based story. The film had earned Rs 4.25 cr. on the first day, followed by increasing numbers on the second day, about Rs 10.10 crore. The film collected Rs 17.25 crore on the third day and Rs 16.25 crore on the fourth, making its total worldwide box office collections, Rs 47.85 crore.

The film tries to bring forth an underreported story of Indian history, which narrates the struggle and trauma of Kashmiri pandits. It questions democracy, religion, politics, and humanity.

The film is also written by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and features Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi and Chinmay Mandlekar, among others. The film is produced by Zee Studios and Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri.
