The Pet Detective the most recent movie starring Malayalam actor Sharaf U Dheen, will soon be available on OTT. Debutante Praneesh Vijayan's directorial will be available for streaming on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium starting next week.

Zee5 was previously announced to have acquired the streaming rights for The Pet Detective, which debuted in theatres on October 16. The comedic movie will be available on the platforms starting on November 28, it has officially been revealed. It is currently unknown if the Malayalam movie will be released in other languages as well.

The Pet Detective debuted in theatres alongside Rima Kallingal's critically praised film Theatre and Navya Nair's cop drama Paathirathri, which starred Soubin Shahir. The Pet Detective, however, did better in theatres than these films, which failed to draw audiences to theatres. Sharaf U Dheen plays Tony Jose Alula in The Pet Detective, while Anupama Parameswaran plays Kaikeyi, his love interest. In an attempt to win over Kaikeyi's father, Tony becomes a pet detective. However, as he meets members of the international mafia, he eventually becomes embroiled in more serious crimes. The movie uses a lot of turmoil, humour, and action to show how he solves this case. The actors in the cast, Vinayakan, Vinay Forrt, Shyam Mohan, and Joemon Jyothir, add to the enjoyment. The movie also features Major Ravi, Shobi Thilakan and Vijayaraghavan.

Despite its flaws, the Sharaf U Dheen-starrer is undoubtedly a one-time watchable family entertainer that will appeal to audiences of all ages, according to OTTplay's review.
