The Wild Blade of Strangers OTT release date: This Chinese historical drama made its theatrical release back in 2024, and now gearing up for India release next year.

Chinese actor Jin Zhang is widely known for his incredible martial arts movies. Although he made his debut as a stuntman for the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in 2000, Jin Zhang rose to fame after playing the lead role in Master Z: The Ip Man Legacy in 2018, which is a spin-off of the Ip Man film series. His latest action drama The Wild Blade of Strangers was released in 2024 in China, and now coming to India soon next year through the digital world.

The Chinese martial arts drama movie is coming to Vrott (accessible via OTTplay Premium) next year on October 3, 2026. Indian viewers will be able to watch the movie in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
The movie tells the story of a former Chinese soldier Tian Anye who lives a quiet life as a charcoal seller. He was once a great fighter in an elite Armed Force, but left that life behind after his unit was wiped out in a past power struggle. However, Tian Anye's peaceful life changes when he saves a woman and a baby from some soldiers. He soon learns that the baby is the last royal heir and that the woman named Nie Ling'er is a warrior protecting the child. Tian now must embrace his old skills to protect the baby.
As Tian Anye fights to keep the baby safe, he has to face his brutal past. He feels guilty about his friends from the army who died, and he promises to protect the innocent people caught in the middle of this new political war. The film ends with a big fight where Tian uses his special wild blade to face the prince's army and save the last royal heir.
