Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum scriptwriter Sajeev Pazhoor is all set to make his directorial debut in Tamil with a film starring Yogi Babu and Urvashi, according to reports.

The upcoming movie is set to go on floors soon. Sajeev had also scripted Biju Menon’s Sathyam Paranja Vishwasikuvvo a few years ago, which marked the comeback of actress Samvrutha Sunil. His latest script was for Dileep’s Kesu Ee Veedinte Nathan, which is directed by Nadirshah. The film has Dileep playing a 60-year-old with Urvashi as the lead actress.

Sajeev’s directorial debut in Tamil will also have Urvashi in a pivotal role. Yogi Babu’s Mandela, which had the actor in the lead role, won critical acclaim after its release early this year. He is also part of the upcoming Netflix anthology Navarasa, which is set to release on August 6 on the OTT platform.

Yogi Babu is part of Priyadarshan’s segment Summer of ’92, which also has Manikuttan, Nedumudi Venu and Remya Nambeesan. The featurette focuses on the rasa, hasya. He is also part of Santosh Sivan’s Kollywood version of Manju Warrier’s Jack N Jill in which he plays the character essayed by Soubin Shahir in the Malayalam film. The movie has been titled Centimetre in Tamil.

The Tamil actor has been on a high this year, with his projects Karnan, Sulthan and Mandela, also receiving positive reviews after they dropped on various OTTs.
