Renu Desai, Nassar, Murali Sharma, Jisshu Sengupta, Sudev Nair, Harish Peradi and Anupam Kher played other crucial roles in the film directed by Vamsee (who helmed Dongaata). Tej Narayan Agarwal is the presenter, while Madhie cranks the camera. Avinash Kolla is the production designer and Srikanth Vissa wrote the dialogues. Mayank Singhaniya, Archana Agarwal are the co-producers.

“Tiger Nageswara Rao merits a big-screen viewing for a larger understanding of the tainted legacy of Stuartpuram and its sociological situation. While the colourful life story of a notorious thief deserves a film, the need to make a hero out of him and his endeavours leaves you with mixed feelings,” OTTplay.com's critic wrote at the time of release.
