Kicking off the next phase of promotions of Toxic is the first song, Tabaahi, composed and sung by Vishal Mishra, ahead of Toxic’s March 19, 2026 theatrical release.

The promotions of Rocking Star Yash’s next, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups, has just been shifted into top gear. With only 20 days to go for the Geetu Mohan directorial to hit screens, it’s now time for the first single from the film. It had been rumoured that the first song would be out in early March and as per clock work the official announcement followed shortly after. Tabaahi, the first single from Toxic will be out on March 2, 2026, featuring Yash and Kiara Advani.

Fire, desire and intensity are the buzzwords for the song, composed and sung by Vishal Mishra. The makers have not revealed if fans will be treated to a full video or if they will have to make do with a lyrical video. Either which way, excitement is in the air. Considering that the actress’ face is not visible in the announcement poster, netizens wondered who it could be, until reports emerged that it is Kiara and then the actress was flooded with ‘Welcome to Sandalwood’ messages.
Toxic is a film set between the 40s and 70s, focusing on Yash’s character as Raya and his brutal journey to set up a drug empire in Goa. The actor is playing 2 characters, with the other, Ticket, said to be his son. Netizens predict that the story will pivot towards father and son being pitted against each other and are excited at that prospect, considering that the level of brutality that both can unleash has been teased already.

The film was shot in Kannada and English simultaneously, but the latter version may not be in theatres in March, as the team will need extensive promotions before taking it to global audiences. Dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi will release on the 19th, and as of now, the film is still expected to clash with the Dhurandhar sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge. There is, however, a growing buzz that Yash may just get the solo release he was hoping for in the Eid-Ugadi holiday season, but that is yet to be confirmed.

Also starring the likes of Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria, Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair, Darrel D’Silva, Benedict Garrett, Balaji Manohar, the film has been co-written by Yash and Geetu. Up next, the trailer is expected to drop on March 7, 2026.
