Trending, the 2025 Tamil psychological thriller film starring actors Kalaiyarasan and Priyalaya in the lead roles, is all set to stream soon. The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been bagged by SunNXT and you can watch it via OTTplay Premium subscription.

Written and directed by Sivaraj N in his directorial debut, Trending is a Tamil film which released on July 18. After its theatrical run, the film is gearing up for its OTT debut. The film will be available on SunNXT via OTTplay Premium subscription from August 8 onwards.

Starring Kalaiyarasan and Priyalaya in the mail roles, Trending as the name suggests is a techno thriller and revolves around a couple who are influencers and YouTubers. After their income from social media slumps, they are contacted by a mysterious man to play a game. As they accept and begin it, the couple discover it is not just a game for money but also for their lives and relationship. The film also stars Prem Kumar, Besant Ravi, Vidhya Borgia, Shivanya and others. With Sam CS musical, Praveen Balu's cinematography, Trending is edited by Nagooran Ramachandran.

Besides Trending, there are some notable Tamil OTT releases this week. One of them include the critically acclaimed film Paranthu Po, which is now streaming on JioHotstar. Directed by Ram, and starring Shiva, Grace Antony and others, the film is a musical comedy about a father and son taking an unexpected road trip. You can also watch the family drama, Maaman, starring Soori in the lead role, from August 8 on ZEE5. The family drama helmed by Prasanth Pandiraj, is about the extremely possessive relationship between a man and his nephew, causing a series of issues. Both these films will be on OTTplay Premium.
