Days after the television premiere of Golden Star Ganesh’s last theatrical release, Triple Riding, was announced to be on Star Suvarna on February 5 at 7 pm, comes news that its streaming details have also been finalized. Along with the satellite rights and premiere details, it had been revealed that Amazon Prime Video had picked the digital rights of the film, which pairs Ganesh with three leading ladies, namely Aditi Prabhudeva, Megha Shetty and Rachana Inder. The film is now available to stream on the platform, although it was earlier thought that it would drop only after the television premiere.

When it released in theatres, Triple Riding did not have a great run at the box office, with audiences unanimously panning the film’s content and Ganesh’s choice of script as being outdated and run-of-the-mill. Ganesh, they felt, was stuck in a rut, with the same kind of romantic comedies. The film had Ganesh pretending to be a doctor (who has to rely on Google to get by with his patients), at the behest of his girlfriend. The ‘con’ doesn’t end there, as this assignment also requires him to romance the hospital’s young surgeon. The reason behind this ‘deception’ and what becomes of him thereafter forms the crux of the movie.

Ganesh, meanwhile, is currently awaiting the release of his next, Baanadariyalli, which is his fourth collaboration with director Preetham Gubbi. A film about love, Baanadariyalli has the actor playing a cricketer, and pairs him with Rukmini Vasanth and Reeshma Nanaiah. While Rukmini will be seen as a surfer in the film, Reeshma is a wildlife photographer. The film had been announced as a March 17 theatrical release, but the latest buzz is that Preetham will push it ahead, as R Chandru’s most ambitious project to date, Kabzaa is also out on the same day. The Upendra-led film, which also has Sudeep and Shivarajkumar in pivotal roles, is getting a massive multi-lingual pan-India release, which has apparently prompted Preetham to reconsider his plans. Official word on this is still awaited.
