'Soori helped me during Marco's promotions'

During Maaman's promotions in Kerala, the Bhaagmathie actor said that Soori provided him with support that no one else had. He disclosed that Soori posted a personal note on social media prior to Marco's premiere, asking people to see the action thriller in theatres. According to Unni, he did it out of kindness and without his or anybody else's request.

The duo played prominent role in Garudan, which also starred Sasikumar in a lead role. "Soori's ability to manage both humorous and moving characters is admirable. I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to collaborate with him," Unni remarked calling him a humble artiste. He also mentioned how he thought Maaman will do well in Kerala, much like Sasikumar's most recent Tamil movie, Tourist Family. Additionally, Unni Mukundan encouraged everyone to see Maaman in theatres.
