From Inspector Rishi Season 2 to Telugu show Traitors and the thriller Exam, here's a look at the upcoming south series and shows set to drop on Prime Video in 2026

Prime Video has unveiled its South titles for 2026. While Tamil series such as Inspector Rishi returns with Season 2, new gritty ones such as Exam have also been announced. Stars too are part of the upcoming slate of Prime Video, with the likes of young Telugu star Teja Sajja taking up hosting duties in Traitors Telugu. Here’s a look at the South series announced by Prime Video, which seems to be focusing more on Telugu and Tamil titles for the year.

Two years after the Naveen Chandra-led series dropped on Prime Video, the horror crime series has been renewed for season 2. Inspector Rishi will be back, looking into a series of abductions that are linked to a supernatural force. Created by Nandhini JS, the upcoming Tamil series promises another gripping watch.
The popular global show Traitors, billed as the ultimate game of betrayal where the only shrewdest survive, is getting a Telugu avatar and we are excited to see how this will unfold. Young Telugu star Teja Sajja takes on hosting duties in the upcoming show. The Hindi Traitors is hosted by Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar.
A massive scam revolving around public service exams is the focus of this upcoming thriller series. A young woman seeks to expose the paper-leak network and the bigwigs behind the scam, even as the future of numerous aspirants hangs in balance. Dushara Vijayan leads the Tamil series, along with Abbas, a popular actor during the 2000s. Filmmaker-duo Pushkar and Gayathri are the creative producers.
Another Telugu series, which takes us to the port town of Isakapatnam, built by the powerful Naidu. Directed by Garry BH, the series features noted actress Aishwarya Rajesh in a key role of a woman seeking justice. Samuthirakani, Sunil and Naresh Agastya are also part of the series, set in the 1990s.
Senior actor Prakash Raj leads the Telugu series, a patron of classical music. Set in the sacred temple town of Vaikuntapuram, the series follows his attempt to find a true heir to his musical legacy. Madhubala and Srikanth Meka are also part of Jagamae Sangeetham, helmed by Palnati Surya Prathap.
Another Tamil original series returns with Tourist Family actor M Sasikumar in the lead. SI Moosa Raaza, who gets transferred to Madurai outskirts, closes a cold case. But he is startled to realise later he may have sent an innocent man to prison for life. The first part, Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie, was released in 2022 with SJ Suryah in the lead.
The Telugu series revolves around a neighbourhood cricket match in the old city of Hyderabad. What should have been a friendly game brings together the players, criminals and the police. Praveen Sattaru’s Telugu series stars Sudheer Babu, along with JD Chakravarthy, Hansika, Shraddha Srinath, and Adarsh Balakrishna.
