Uppu Kappurambu is Keerthy Suresh's new Telugu film that has skipped a theatrical release and opted for a direct OTT premiere. We at OTTplay have already reported that the film will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from July 4, 2025.

We have now learned that the trailer of the film will be launched on June 19, 2025, in Hyderabad. The entire cast and crew will be present at the event to promote the film. It has been quite some time since we’ve seen Keerthy Suresh in a Telugu film, as her last release was Nani's Dasara which ended as a smash hit at the box office.

Her fans would have loved to see her in a theatrical release, but the makers felt Uppu Kappurambu was perfect for OTT streaming, which is why they chose that route. Another highlight of the film is that it features Telugu actor Suhas in the lead role. This is the first time one of his films has starred such a big actress in the main role.

In many of his interviews, Suhas has mentioned that he is super excited to show audiences what Uppu Kappurambu is all about. Well, the time is here, as the trailer will be out soon. Directed by Ani I.V. Sasi, the film also stars Babu Mohan, Shatru, and Talluri Rameshwari in key roles.

Uppu Kappurambu is set in the 1990s in the fictional village of Chitti Jayapuram and revolves around the burial infrastructure in the village. While the situations are serious, the comedy will bring a smile to the audience's faces, say the makers. In a way, Uppu Kappurambu is an experimental film made on a low budget. That is also one of the reasons the team opted for an OTT release.
