Ustaad Bhagat Singh
Ustad Bhagat Singh is Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film that is all set to hit the screens on March 19, 2026. Initially, the film was scheduled for release on March 26, but the makers decided to advance the date by a week after Toxic, starring Yash, was postponed. The team saw this as a good opportunity to avoid a clash and gain a clear release window.

Despite being a big project, the buzz surrounding the film has been relatively low. The makers have been trying to keep the film in the news, and a few recent developments have brought it back into discussion.
One major change happened when Devi Sri Prasad, who was initially roped in to compose the background score, reportedly walked out of the project. He was quickly replaced by S. Thaman, which made fans happy as Thaman is known for delivering powerful background scores in commercial films.
Another key update is that the film will not have any premiere shows in the Telugu states. The makers had reportedly requested permission from the Government of Telangana to increase ticket prices and allow premiere shows a day before the official release.
However, the request was rejected. Following this, the Government of Andhra Pradesh also decided not to allow premiere shows. As a result, the first shows of the film will start directly on release day at 7 AM across both states.
The film marks the second collaboration between director Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan after the blockbuster Gabbar Singh. Raashii Khanna and Sreeleela play the female leads in this action entertainer, which is backed by the makers of Pushpa: The Rise.
Harish Shankar recently clarified that Ustad Bhagat Singh is not a remake of Theri, starring Vijay, and stated that the film is based on an original story he wrote long ago. With promotions expected to begin soon, it remains to be seen whether the film will build stronger momentum ahead of its release.
