Vaa Vaathiyaar is about an ardent MGR fan who believes that his grandson is a reincarnation of his idol, given he was born on the same date and time as MGR died. However, the grandson grows up to be corrupt cop, whose life takes a turn as his alter ego becomes a vigilante impersonating MGR.
