Vaa Vaathiyaar star Karthi is in discussions with several Telugu directors, and one of them is Saripodhaa Sanivaaram fame Vivek Athreya.

Karthi is ready with his new film Vaa Vaathiyaar, which is all set to hit the screens on December 12, 2025. The cop drama is also getting a wide release in Telugu as Annagaru Vasthunnaru and is carrying decent hype, as Karthi has a good fan base in the Telugu states.

It is a known fact that he is all set to act in Nani's HIT 4, which is being directed by Sailesh Kolanu. Well, we at OTTplay Premium have come to know that Karthi is in talks with director Vivek Athreya, who made hit films like Mental Madilo Brochevarevarura, Ante Sundaraniki, and Saripodhaa Sanivaram in the past.

One of the sources close to the unit reveals to us that Vivek had readied a solid subject and narrated it to superstar Rajinikanth, but that did not materialize somehow. He has now narrated the same subject to Karthi with minor changes.

The source goes on to add that Karthi has loved the subject and has shown interest, and he has asked for a bound script to take a call. Vivek Athreya is a very sensible director and is always praised for his intense narrative in all his films. Teaming up with Karthi will be quite exciting to see.

During the pre-release event of Annagaru Vasthunnaru, Karthi was also asked about HIT 4, and he stated that he was dying to take the film onto the sets, but the script work is not yet ready.

Apart from this, Karthi was asked about Kaithi 2 and the Sardaar sequel, but he did not reveal anything and stated that when the time comes, he will share all the details.
