Thalaivasal Vijay, Ravi Kale and Sumithra play key roles in the cop saga directed by Jagadish Kumar

Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who shot to fame with hits like Krack and Naandhi in Telugu cinema, has earned a terrific following among audiences within a short span and is part of several biggies this year. One of her upcoming Telugu films, Vara IPS, will have her turning a cop. The first look of the film was unveiled commemorating Ugadi the previous weekend. Thalaivasal Vijay, Ravi Kale, Bharath Reddy, Black Pandi and Sumithra essay crucial roles in the film. Vara IPS is directed by Jagadish Kumar a.k.a JK.
Sri Lalithambika Production is bankrolling Vara IPS. The film's Telugu rights have been bagged by A N Balaji of Sri Lakshmi Jyothi Creations. The banner had earlier also released the Siddharth-GV Prakash Kumar starrer Orey Bammardhi in Telugu last year. The first look of Vara IPS has caught a lot of eyeballs already, enough to make audiences curious about its plot. KGF fame composer Ravi Basrur is composing the music for the same.
Matthews is on board as the cinematographer and Venky UDV is the editor. Julie Bastion and Siruthai Ganesh have choreographed the stunts for the film. Apart from Vara IPS, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is also shooting for Prasanth Varma's Hanu-Man, cast in the role of a fiery woman Anjamma. Her other major projects include the Samantha-starrer Yashoda, NBK107 with Nandamuri Balakrishna and Shruti Haasan. The fact that it only took a couple of films for Varalaxmi to earn such credibility as a performer and even headline projects in Telugu truly speaks of her worth.
