The Vikram-starrer film Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, which is scheduled to be released in theatres today (March 27), has been facing troubles, with the first shows facing the brunt of it. As per reports, the film is facing some legal issues due to financial constraints, with the makers restrained from releasing it before 10.30 am on its release day. With the court hearing to take place, the first shows are likely to begin only after 11 am.
Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 faces financial and legal issues on release day
Actor Vikram joined hands with filmmaker SU Arun Kumar for the film titled Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2. The film is slated for release on March 27, Thursday, with the FDFS for it to begin from 9 am IST.
The film’s morning shows have been cancelled, which means the 9 am shows will not be running on Thursday. As per reports, the court hearing is scheduled to take place around 10.30 am, after which the timing of the first show will be made known. In all likelihood, the film’s FDFS is likely to begin from 11 am onwards. An official update from the makers is yet to come in this regard. In addition to the 9 am shows, the US premieres of Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 have also been cancelled.

Written and directed by SU Arun Kumar, who earlier made the critically acclaimed film Chithha, Veera Dheera Soora: Part 2 also stars Dushara Vijayan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, SJ Suryah, Siddique and others. It is produced by HR Pictures and has music by GV Prakash Kumar.

It is to be noted that the upcoming film is the sequel, with the first part to be released later. Touted to be an action drama, Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 marks Suraj’s debut in Tamil. The film was supposed to release along with Mohanlal’s L2 Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.
