Director AR Murugadoss’ Madharaasi, has been growing onto the audience, given the film is being marked as the director’s comeback. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, and is an action thriller. While both the director and actor have been praised by the audience for their contribution, if there is one more person getting the limelight, it is Vidyut Jammwal, who has returned to Tamil cinema to play the villain after a long time.

Actor Vidyut Jammwal, who is now a household name in Hindi cinema, played the villain in the recently released Tamil film Madharaasi. It marks the actor’s return to Tamil cinema after 11 years since the release of 2014 film Anjaan. However, Vidyut was most famously known to play the antagonist in AR Murugadoss’ Thuppaaki opposite Vijay. So, when Vidyut was cast in Madharaasi, the expectations doubled up. It looks safe now to say that audience have indeed enjoyed Vidyut’s performance in the film, as his sleek and notorious character as gun smuggler has charmed netizens.
Vidyut plays Virat, one of the two antagonists of Madharaasi who is trying to smuggle guns into Tamil Nadu to spread the gun culture in the state.
