'Vijay Sethupathi not part of Pushpa 2 or any other Telugu project," asserts actor's publicist; says only Jawan is on cards at the moment

Stating that Vijay Sethupathi is essaying a negative role only in Jawan at this point and that any other report claiming that he is part of another Telugu project is FALSE, publicist Yuvraaj quashed all the rumors through his timely tweet.

Actor Vijay Sethupathi is currently on a steep rise in his career, thanks to the many credible acting performances he has delivered over the past few years. His reputation has grown beyond the confines of the Tamil film industry today with his name associated with the biggest Hindi and Telugu projects in the offing.

Vijay Sethupathi was recently confirmed as the chief antagonist in the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan much to the delight of the fans of the actor. However, in the same vein emerged other reports which suggested that he has also been roped in to play a crucial role in the Telugu film Pushpa 2, alongside Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, and others.

While the actor has stayed mum throughout and is yet to confirm any of the speculations, his publicist has stepped in to make the necessary clarifications. Stating that Vijay Sethupathi is essaying a negative role only in Jawan at this point and that any other report claiming that he is part of another Telugu project is FALSE, publicist Yuvraaj quashed all the rumors through his timely tweet.

“This is to clarify that #VijaySethupathi sir is doing a negative role only in #ShahRukhKhan sir's Jawan at this point and that he is not playing a negative role in any other Telugu projects as is being speculated,” wrote publicist Yuvraaj who also represents other big celebrities such as Chiyaan Vikram, music composer and actor G.V. Prakash Kumar, Dhruv Vikram, etc.

The news of Vijay Sethupathi’s inclusion in Atlee’s Jawan was met with tremendous fanfare on the internet with fans showing unbound excitement for the SRK and Makkal Selvan clash on the big screen. Sethupathi was brought on board, reportedly, after Rana Daggubati chose to walk out of the project citing health and scheduling concerns.

As far as the Pushpa franchise is concerned, reports claim that the Vikram actor was offered a role in the first installment as well but the actor had to turn down the offer due to other commitments.

Vijay Sethupathi will also star in Sriram Raghavan's next titled Merry Christmas alongside Katrina Kaif.
