Vikram Bhatt predicts Nadaaniyan's Ibrahim Ali Khan will be a 'big star': 'I didn't find any problem in...'

Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan recently made his acting debut with Nadaaniyan. Since its Netflix release, Ibrahim has been at the receiving end of criticism. The actor has been criticized for his performance in his debut film, where he shared screen space with Khushi Kapoor. However, filmmaker Vikram Bhatt defended Ibrahim and his co-star Khushi. Say for that matter, Bhatt predicted that Ibrahim would become a 'big star'.

In an interview with Galatta India, Vikram Bhatt admitted that he didn't find anything particularly wrong with Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor's acting skills. The filmmaker couldn't fathom the trolling around Nadaaniyan on social media as he liked both lead actors.

"I liked Ibrahim, it’s a different matter whether the film is good or not. But these days, there is an argument about nepotism, and to win that argument, you have to be superb, but that’s not fair for newcomers. It’s his first film. Who does superb in their first film? He has a presence in front of the camera, you can tell that he knows acting. So, I am sad about this whole thing," said Vikram.

The filmmaker further mentioned, "I didn’t find any problem in his acting. The film wasn’t the type that I would watch, but I am also not the target audience for this film." Although the romantic drama caters to the GenZ audience, Vikram, as a filmmaker, found Ibrahim and Khushi good.

He also predicted how Ibrahim would establish himself in the future. "I can give you in writing that Ibrahim will be a big star," Vikram predicted. The director further spoke about Ibrahim being compared to his father Saif. In his opinion, Ibrahim is doing better compared to the way Saif performed in his initial films.

On the work front, Ibrahim Ali Khan reportedly has a film titled Sarzameen lined up. He might be seen with Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the movie. Khan is also reportedly in talks for a film with Sreeleela.
