It's been four days since Vikram Vedha hit the big screens and fans can't stop raving about Hrithik Roshan's incredible performance. The star's anti-hero act has instantly become a favourite among the masses, and people are rushing to the theatres to watch the film. After two years of having Vedha within him, Hrithik has decided to let go of the character with a cleansing ritual. The actor took to his social media pages and shared a video in which he's seen cutting a black thread that he's seen wearing on his wrist throughout the shoot of Vikram Vedha.

The actor started the note by writing, "Time to let go." He realised that he doesn't know exactly when he started doing this, or even why. But he realised today that he had secretly done this for every character that terrified him. Mostly it’s a red mauli which his War character Kabir wore, and sometimes it’s a black thread. Hrithik thinks he does it because it physically anchors the commitment he makes to himself before he begins. The actor called it a "secret pact" between him and himself.

The ritual of cutting it is always confusing for the Super 30 star. He tried once his shoot got over but couldn’t, and then when his dub got over, he couldn't again. And then he finally did when the question he asked himself had a satisfactory answer.

"Did I give this everything I had?" "Can I do more?" are the questions that scare the actor, drive him, and keep him searching for more.

Hrithik concluded by writing that Vedha has been a terrific journey. Through him, he learnt to be at peace with his failings, unafraid and unapologetic. The actor will always be grateful to his directors and writers, Pushkar and Gayatri, for creating this opportunity.

Vikram Vedha also features Saif Ali Khan as the male lead and hit the big screens on September 30, 2022.
