ZEE5, which is consistently coming up with pathbreaking Telugu shows through the year, has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of a small-budget film titled Vishwak. Ajay Kathurvar and Dimple play the lead roles in the film directed by Venu Mulkala. Thatikonda Anandam Bala Krishan has bankrolled the film under Golden Duck Productions. The film is now gearing up for its OTT premiere.

A few days ago, the leading platform has announced that the film would be out on ZEE5 this Friday i.e. June 2, while also unveiling its trailer. The trailer begins with a youngster’s agony around wasting the prime years of his life, his anger about the ways of the world and not being able to do much about it. The story focuses on his love life, ambitions and how he questions societal norms, the idea of citizenship.

While stating their intent behind the film, the makers share, “Vishwak deals with the stress, struggles, depressions and unemployment of the youth. It also tells how educated NRIs beyond making us proud in other countries can also help in the growth and development of their own nation. The film tries to provide solutions about how one could solve problems of unemployment and migration.”

Pradeep Dev is the cinematographer for the film which has music by Satya Sagar Polam. K Vishwanath is the editor. Ajay Kathurvar, the lead actor, has acted in many films like Premadesam, Alanti Sitralu, Raagala 24 Gantallo, Mehbooba and Mistake, to name a few. Vishwak released in theatres in February 22 and opened to a moderate response at the box office.

The critics had kind words to share about Ajay’s performance, music and the cinematography and opined the film had important statement to make on patriotism, addressing social issues in a unique manner. The OTT premiere is certain to give this film a worthy chance to woo streaming enthusiasts.
