Vishwak Sen, who impressed audiences with a fantastic performance in Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, is back with another release - Ori Devuda, a film slated to release for Diwali on October 21. Written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, he’s paired alongside Mithila Palkar, Asha Bhat in the fantasy rom-com produced jointly by PVP Cinemas and Sri Venkateswara Creations.

At the trailer launch of Ori Devuda, Vishwak said, “I thank PVP sir for giving me a film like Ori Devuda. I am sure that my career will discussed as before and after Ori Devuda; I am that confident about it. The fact that I got this film above anyone else is a huge thing for me and I still remember the conversation I had with PVP garu about it a couple of years ago.”

“Ashwath hasn’t only made a good film already but he has repeated the magic again. Ori Devuda is ten times bigger and better than the original (Oh My Kadavule). It’s an emotional, happy and leave you teary eyed. The film will haunt you for days. Leon James has given amazing music and it’s going to be a treat. Gundellona, sung by Anirudh, will be the next big chartbuster,” he added.

“I was a big fan of Mithila Palkar a couple of years ago and I got to learn a lot by working with her. Asha Bhat was like a kid in front of Ashwath, honestly following instructions from him. I hope this will be a career changing film for Venkatesh Kakumanu too. Tharun Bhascker has written the dialogues and I’m thankful to him,” Vishwak shared.

He also remembered how actor Venkatesh (Daggubati) supported him during the trailer launch of Falaknuma Das and now too, graciously joined this film right after watching the original. “If at all I had an elder brother, I would want someone like him. My executive producer, Vamsi Kaka, treated me very well on sets and so did all other crew members and technicians,” he stated.

Ori Devuda is the Telugu remake of Oh My Kadavule, that originally featured Ashok Selvan, Vani Bhojan and Ritika Singh. The Tamil film is streaming on ZEE5.
