Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has become a force to reckon with, not just in Tamil cinema, but across the Indian film industry. The buzz is many leading stars from across the country are vying for an opportunity to work with him as he seems to understand the pulse of the mass audiences.
Lokesh was recently honoured with the 'Best Director award at the SIIMA 2023 for last year's blockbuster Vikram. However, he was prompted by the crowd at the event to reveal something about Leo, which stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead.
A new update from the filmmakers has been overdue. Fans are eager to learn new details of the project. However, their expectations and repeated social media campaigns have failed to move the producers to share new promotional material.
Fans are upset with no update on Leo
The last update of Leo came more than a month ago. On August 15, the producer unveiled a new promo revealing Arjun Sarja's character named Harold Das. The production team almost disappeared into oblivion with no update on what was happening with the project. Barring a few speculative reports about the ongoing production work, there have been no fresh updates.
When Lokesh was pressured to reveal something about Leo at the award show, he promised the promotions would begin in full swing from Sunday. "There was a lot of work that needed to be completed. We had planned that we would start promotions a month before its release. And we will start releasing updates from tomorrow (September 17)," he revealed.

The buzz is that the filmmakers might release the second single from Leo next week, coinciding with the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration. The movie's music album is scored by composer Anirudh, who is basking in the success of Jawan.
Leo is due in cinemas on October 19.
