Waltair Veerayya’s promotions are making the right noises amidst the public, leading up to the film’s release on January 13, 2023. The mass entertainer, starring Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan in the lead, is written and directed by Bobby Kolli. The fourth single from the film, Poonakalu Loading, bringing together Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja, was launched in the presence of the stars’ fans in theatres across the Telugu states on Friday evening.

Poonakaalu Loading is a raw, rustic street dance number with an effortless Chiranjeevi and an equally energetic Ravi Teja. The style of the composition reminds you of Yeh Bidda Idi Naa Adda from Allu Arjun’s Pushpa where the number largely revolves around a catchphrase. Here, the catch phrase is ‘Don’t stop dancing..Poonakaalu loading’. Conceptualised and composed by Devi Sri Prasad, the number is sung (and lyricised) by Roll Rida and Rim Miriyala.

Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja also croon for the number briefly and contribute to its lustre. Sekhar master, who’s choreographed all numbers in Waltair Veerayya, utilises Chiranjeevi’s strengths as a dancer to the hilt and gives fans many moments to cheer. The dancing style of Ravi Teja, who enters midway into the song, is quite similar to Govinda in 90s numbers. The intentional throwback to Mutha Mestri, Rowdy Alludu is quite evident with Chiranjeevi’s costumes.

Catherine Tresa, Rajendra Prasad, Sapthagiri, Srinivas Reddy, Bobby Simha too play important roles in the film. Arthur Wilson cranks the camera and Niranjan Devaramane is the editor respectively. AS Ravindra handles production design while Chiranjeevi’s daughter Sushmitha Konidela is the costume designer. Kona Venkat, K Chakravarthy Reddy pen the screenplay in the film produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers.
