Raj is inviting talent to work with him

Looks like Raj B Shetty has stepped on the gas as far as filmmaking goes. Less than a fortnight ago, he had announced that his third directorial, Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye, had been wrapped up, and that too, in a record 18 days. And now, it looks like he is already prepping for his next. A little while ago, Raj posted a casting call on social media.

“From the makers of Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana, Production No.2 Casting Call. We are looking for artists…,” read the post, with specific requirements for a girl aged between 5 and 8 years, two boys, one each in the age group of 6-10 and 10-15 respectively, as well as woman aged between 40 and 50 and one man and woman each of 35 years and above. “Send your profile if you belong in the category mentioned in the post. Let’s work together,” wrote Raj along with the image of the casting call for his Lighter Buddha Films.

Raj offered no other information about this project, but it would be safe to assume that the team of Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana will collaborate yet again, including cinematographer Pravin Shriyan and music director Midhun Mukundan. The as-yet-untitled project will be Raj’s fourth directorial after Ondu Motteya Kathe, Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana and Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye.

In recent interviews, Raj has often been quoted as saying that he’d like to concentrate more on filmmaking than acting. He is, however, playing the lead in Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye and has been signed up to play a pivotal role in music composer Arjun Janya’s directorial debut, 45, along with Shivarajkumar. Raj was last seen onscreen in June, with cameos in 777 Charlie and Thurthu Nirgamana. He is also credited with choreographing the Bhoothakola sequences in Rishab Shetty’s hit Kantara.
