New spy and shared pledge across franchise

War 2 which stars Kiara Advani and is set to be released on August 14, introduces a new element—the pledge—that will be a recurring pattern in all future YRF Spy Universe films. Jr. NTR joins the franchise as another spy from the same intelligence network, and Roshan returns as Kabir Dhaliwal, a former R&AW agent who turned rogue in 2019's War. As per Mid Day, according to an insider, the oath is first used during the induction ceremony for these agents as part of the swearing-in process.

The source told the tabloid that Aditya Chopra and Ayan Mukerji aimed for a catchphrase that would unite all the characters in the espionage universe and serve as a cornerstone for Roshan and Jr. NTR's roles. Shridhar Raghavan and Chopra collaborated to write this shapath. According to the source, from now on, all covert agents, including Pathaan, played by Shah Rukh Khan, and Tiger, played by Salman Khan, will be shown taking the same oath.
