Alan Ritchson, best known as the leading man of the popular series Reacher, is playing an army man yet again. This time around, he leads the final recruits of a US Army Ranger selection on a routine training exercise in the remote Australian wilderness, where they inadvertently activate an alien device, that quickly gains the moniker War Machine. The trailer of the film has dropped, which also revealed the streaming deadline.

War Machine, directed by Patrick Hughes, who is best known for films like The Expendables 3, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, among others, will drop on Netflix on March 6, 2026. The film also stars Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Keiynan Lonsdale, Daniel Webber, Jake Ryan, among many others.

According to the official logline, War Machine’s plot is as follows: ‘On one last gruelling mission during Army Ranger training, a combat engineer must lead his unit in a fight against a giant otherworldly killing machine.’ In the trailer, the recruits are pushed to testing the limits of their emotional, mental and physical strength tolerance.

And if that isn’t bad enough, the alien machine they awaken is hunting them, determined to get every single one of them. Can they outsmart a machine that was built for war and survive after all? Ritchson, meanwhile, was last seen in the buddy action drama Playdate along with Kevin James. This year, he is also expected to have the fourth season of Reacher on OTT. This one is based on the Lee Child novel Gone Tomorrow.
