This is not the first time Shimron Hetmyer has been dropped from the West Indies squad.

While injury will see many great players missing out on the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, Shimron Hetmyer's reason for not being part of the tournament is for a totally different reason.
The West Indies batter, who was part of the squad, was removed after he missed the rescheduled flight to Australia.
While the reasons behind Hetmyer missing the flight was not revealed, it has become the topic of discussion on social media. In fact, some even criticised Hetmyer for the incident.
Now, coming in support of the batter is Hetmyer's wife who posted a story on Instagram stating that the truth about the incident is yet to be unveiled.
"There's always another side to every story told #whatsinthedarkmustcometolight @shetmyer always gonna support you love no matter what".
The Windies cricketer also shared his wife's story on Instagram. "Always is love," he wrote in his story.
This is not the first time Hetmyer has been dropped from the squad. Earlier due to fitness issues, he was kept out of the side. The board has been quite critical of his fitness despite the talent he possesses.
The team has now named Shamarh Brooks as Hetmyer's replacement in the squad for the T20 World Cup 2022.
