When Rekha and Hrithik Roshan accidentally locked lips in an awkward kiss

Rekha and Hrithik Roshan shared the screen in Koi... Mil Gaya and Krrish.

Through the course of her illustrious film career, Rekha has made a name for herself as one of the most elegant and graceful actresses in Bollywood today. But that does not mean that the actress has not had her share of awkward moments, some of which have made its way into the public eye. One such embarrassing moment was when the veteran actress had an awkward brush with Hrithik Roshan.

Hrithik and Rekha seem to share a lovely bond off screen, with the two never shying away from greeting each other when they meet. But one such greeting between them did not go as planned. When the two met for an award function, Rekha reportedly enveloped her Koi... Mil Gaya co-star in a warm hug. Then an awkward moment followed.

After the hug, Rekha seemingly went in for a kiss with Hrithik, probably to give the actor a peck on the cheek or forehead. But unfortunately, she ended up giving him a kiss on the lips. To make matters worse, the moment was caught and photographed as well, instantly becoming viral.

Suffice to say, the actress witnessed an incessant amount of trolling come her way after the incident. There were also people who claimed that the photographs were edited to make it seem more sensational and awkward than it was.

Hrithik and Rekha had starred together in the first two instalments in Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish film franchise, Koi... Mil Gaya(2003) and Krrish(2006), playing a mother-son duo. A fourth instalment in the franchise is also in development at the moment, in which Hrithik will reprise his role as the titular superhero.

Meanwhile, Hrithik was last seen in the Pushkar-Gayatri directorial Vikram Vedha. The actor will also be seen in Siddharth Anand’s upcoming directorial Fighter, which will also star Deepika Padukone.
