Several production houses in Telugu cinema have been on the receiving end from the fans of stars, especially when their quest for an update around a much-awaited film remains unacknowledged. Mythri Movie Makers is no exception to the trend. The banner, whose films Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya are set to release for Sankranti 2023, is backing Allu Arjun's two part action franchise Pushpa, directed by Sukumar. The shoot of the second part had commenced recently.

While Pushpa will celebrate its first release anniversary later this weekend, fans of Allu Arjun are not particularly happy with the way the production house is dealing with the publicity surrounding the second part. They have been relentlessly demanding an update from Mythri Movie Makers on Pushpa 2, however big or small it is and the appeal has been trending nationwide on Twitter in the evening hours of Thursday. Here's what they have to say with their tweets.

Fahadh Faasil, who also made an appearance in Pushpa The Rise, is cast as the main antagonist in the second part. Rashmika Mandanna plays the on-screen wife to the titular character in the film that also features Dhananjaya, Sunil, Anasuya, Rao Ramesh and others in key roles. The first part ended on a cliffhanger where Allu Arjun humiliates Fahadh Faasil's cop character and now, the latter is in the mood for revenge. Devi Sri Prasad's blockbuster album was a critical reason behind Pushpa's success.

Pushpa The Rise is now streaming across five languages on Amazon Prime Video and is also among the most searched films-list on several portals this year. While the film opened to mixed responses initially, strong word of mouth from the public and Allu Arjun's mass appeal helped its reach across various parts of the country. Recently, the Russian version of Pushpa too had opened to encouraging responses all over, with the entire cast and crew promoting it in Russia.
