The Society is a reality TV show that brings together a concept that is seen but is relatively newer to India. It has a setup like the Korean drama, Squid Game. The reality show has bunk beds, cruel punishments, and a vault. The contestants are further divided into The Royals, The Regular, and The Rags. This is quite similar to Munawar's own season of Bigg Boss 17, which had the concept of Dil, Dimaag Aur Dum. It is a place where one has more advantages than the other. The show is also quite similar to his first reality show Lock Upp, for The Rags are treatd no less than prisoners, and the difference is sure to cause a lot of friction between the contestants.
The Society is scheduled for release on JioHotstar from coming Monday i.e. July 21. The show hosts 25 fresh faces as contestants for 200 days straight. The concept, including the decision for the winner, is likely to unfold as the show moves forward.
