Team India could not qualify for Asia Cup Final after losing back-to-back games against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4 stage.
Experimental failures
Since Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma took charge of Team India, there side has not only seen many captains due to the 'Hitman' either being rested or injured.However, they key factor was to end India's trophy draught, but in order to do so, the side many 'experiments' with the team to find the right playing XI., ,However, the Asia Cup being the first major tournament of the year saw India already out of the Final and many questions were raised on the team selection.,

Poor death bowling
In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel due to injury, the side did not even include Mohammed Shami to the squad.India went in with three pacers and with theit top three players missing, the whole pressure was on Bhuvneshwar Kumar., ,Avesh Khan was one of the most expensive bowlers before he suffered from illness and then had to exit from the tournament. Deepak Chahar had come in as his replacement, but he was not used in the game., ,Talking about Arshdeep Singh, the new bowler has shown potential as a death bowler, but will surely need to work on some aspects if he makes it to T20 World Cup squad.,

After a poor performance in the World Cup last year, Hardik Pandya rectified his mistakes and all saw the powerful cricketer back in action during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season where he captined and took Gujarat Titans (GT) to their first ever victory.The all-rounder impressed all with his fitness and performances and also made a comeback into the international circuit., ,While he did performe against Pakistan in the League stage, the all-rounder was mostly under pressure especailly Ravindra Jadeja was out of the equation due to injury., ,This saw him become the only all-rounder with no bowling given to Deepak Hooda in any game and that aftter the GT captain's bowling and batting., ,,

Performers not getting chance again
Players like Dinesh Karthik and Ravi Bishnoi played just a game and despite performing brilliantly were again benched for the other games.Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh also spoke about India's decision-making in high-pressure matches., ,The former spinner had asked why the likes of Ravi Bishnoi and Dinesh Karthik were not part of the playing XI., ,In a tweet he had said, "Where is Umran malik (150km speed) ? Why Deepak chahar (top quality swing bowler )wasn’t there ? Tell me if these guys don’t deserve the chances ?? Why Dinesh Karthik don’t get chances consistently?? Disappointing".,

Inconsistent batters
Leaving the last match against Sri Lanka where he got out for a duck, Virat Kohli was somewhat back in form. However barring him, Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma, none of the other Indian batters could make of an impact.The Indian middle order was inconsistent especially after Hardik Pandya performed in one game and then somehow fizziled out., ,Kohli was India's top scorer with 154 runs (two fifties) from four innings followed by Rohit and Yadav who both had 133 runs apiece., ,,
