September seems to offer quite a treat for cinephiles, as a range of highly anticipated releases are set to make their way to the silver screen this month. Although Bollywood is going through a rough patch of late with some releases failing to make a mark at the box office, some of these upcoming titles hope to set everything straight. From Vikram Vedha to Brahmastra, check out these September releases that you must not miss.
Vikram Vedha has raised everyone's hope with its power-packed teaser. The Hindi film featuring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan is a remake of the 2017 Tamil language film of the same name. It is about a policeman Vikrant and his hunt for a criminal Vedha.
Ponniyin Selvan is an original Tamil film featuring Chiyaan Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi and Aishwarya Lakshmi in lead roles. The film will also be released in Hindi as well. The Mani Ratnam-directed movie is an epic drama period film adapted from the book of the same name written by Kalki Krishnamurthy.
Brahmastra is one of the most awaited movies of the year. The Ayan Mukerji-directed film features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles and promises some surprising cameos in between. It is the first part of the three-part anthology and is slated to be released on 9 September.
Sita Ramam is a successful Telugu film. It features Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles. It was a box office hit and released in Hindi on 2 September. The movie has been receiving positive responses.
