Pawan Kalyan's early life

Pawan Kayan was born Konidela Kalyan Babu on 2 September 1968 to Konidela Venkata Rao and Anjana Devi in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh. He has two elder siblings, Chiranjeevi and Nagendra Babu who are both Telugu film actors and producers. His extended family includes actors Ram Charan, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej and Allu Arjun.

Pawan Kalyan's entry into acting

He made his acting debut with the Telugu language film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi in 1996. The E.V.V. Satyanarayan-directed film featured Supriya as the leading lady. He later featured in the 1999 movie Tholi Prema, the A. Karunakaran-directed film that won National Award and six Nandi Awards.

Pawan Kalyan and his political career

Pawan became the president of Yuvarajyam, the youth wing of the Praja Rajyam Party that was started by his elder brother Chiranjeevi and hence started his political career in 2008. The Praja Rajyam Party was merged with Congress in 2011. Kalyan then formed his own party, the Jana Sena party in 2014.

Pawan Kalyan: The writer

Pawan wrote the book titled Ism which formed the ideology of the Jana Sena party. He then went on to discuss political issues concerning Telugu states and his party contested elections and won 140 seats in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections.

Pawan Kalyan's other works

Pawan Kalyan was announced as the brand ambassador of Pepsi in 2001. This made him the first South-Indian superstar to endorse the popular soft drink. He is also the ambassador of JEEVAN DAAN, an initiative started for organ donation by the Andhra Pradesh government in 2017.

Pawan Kalyan's personal life

Pawan was married to Nandini in 1997. He later went on to have a live-in relationship with his co-star Renu Desai. Nandini and Pawan got divorced in 2008, after which Pawan married Renu. They have two children together and parted ways in 2012. Pawan then married his third wife Anna Lezhneva whom he had met on the sets of Teen Maar. They got married in 2013 under the Special Marriage Act. The couple have a daughter Polena Anjana Pawanova and a son Mark Shankar Pawanovich.
