Vedha is Shivarajkumar's milestone 125th film, directed by A Harsha. This is their fourth collaboration and first home production for the Century Star. Kiccha Sudeep was the chief guest at the recent Junjappa song launch in Chitradurga.
Shivarajkumar's milestone 125th film, Vedha, will release in theatres on December 23. The film, directed by choreographer-director A Harsha is set in the 60s. Also on the cast are Ganavi Laxman, Umashree, Aditi Sagar and Shwetha Changappa, among others. The film is the first production venture of Shivarajkumar under the banner Geetha Pictures. The team was in Chitradurga recently for the film's audio launch and Kiccha Sudeep was the chief guest.
Kiccha Sudeep was the chief guest at the event and launched the song Junjappa. Arriving at the event, Sudeep said that he was immensely happy that he could be in Chitradurga. He thanked director Harsha and the entire team for inviting him to the event.
Chitradurga is a place that Sudeep said he has fond memories of, especially from the time he was there to shoot for the film, Huccha. "Without that movie, I wouldn't be there, and without this place, that film wouldn't be," he said.
Vedha is Shivarajkumar's first home production, made under their banner Geetha Pictures. Sudeep pointed out that after so many years of working on films for different production houses, Shivanna has finally returned home and has done a film for his wife, Geetha Shivarajkumar, whom he fondly called Geethakka.
After launching the song, which he immensely enjoyed watching, Sudeep said that many years ago, when he was just starting out in the industry, it was Shivanna who supported him by turning up for the audio launch event of Sparsha and that he was, therefore, more than happy, to be a part of a similar function for Vedha.
Speaking at the event, Shivarajkumar said that he's known Sudeep for a long time and that their families have been close for many years. "This relationship has grown over the years, and it would not be wrong to say that he is like extended family for us," said the Hattrick Hero.
