Father David Dhawan calls Varun, ‘Pappu’

Varun was born on April 24, 1987, to director David Dhawan and Karuna Dhawan. His elder brother Rohit is a director and made his debut with the 2011 film Desi Boyz. His paternal Uncle, Anil, is an actor, who is known for his roles in films like Jodi No. 1, Andhadhun and Coolie No.1. Varun is part of a close-knit family, and his father has a special nickname for him — Pappu.
