The TVF’s comedy series, Panchayat became the talk of the town ever since it premiered on Amazon Prime Video. And now, the series is returning with the new season. The makers made the official announcement about the show during its ‘SEE Where It Takes You’ event, held in Mumbai. The much-anticipated return has got fans even more excited to see what’s in store for their favourite Jeetu Bhaiya. The show is set to premiere on May 20.

Memories of Phulera
In this series, the intricacies of rural life and its people are eloquently presented against the backdrop of a picturesque tiny village in Uttar Pradesh called Phulera. It's incredibly touching to see Abhishek, the main character, fall in love with the land he used to despise. The sequences in which he discovers he belonged there are compelling and will leave you teary-eyed. It'll be fascinating to see what he does for the village’s panchayat in the coming season. The characters' gradually developing relationship weaves a wonderful and complicated social fabric, forcing you to recognise the fragility of the common man.

Abhishek's escape plan:
Abhishek, played by Jitendra Kumar, the series's central protagonist, never fails to make us excited with his antics centred on leaving the Panchayat and landing a nice job in the city. We're excited to see what he comes up with this season!,

Vikas' friendship:
Everybody requires the presence of Vikas in their lives. Even if the entire world is falling apart around you, having that one form of support brings you much-needed confidence.

Abhishek and Rinki:
The best is saved for last in this season. The scene where Abhishek and Rinki crash on top of a water tank will stir your interest in romance. The two have already been warned to stay away from each other by Rinki’s father and Pradhan-Pati, Brij Bhushan Dubey (Raghubir). While we don't understand if there's a spark between them, we'll have to wait until next season and see how this new connection develops.

Panchayat Season 2 coming soon:
The storyline will be disclosed in the sequel to this entertaining drama as it progresses from the moment where Abhishek and Rinki collide, sparking a possible romance. In the terrains of Phulera, the new plot will delve deeper into the humorous and innocent world of Panchayat traversing through many layers of romance, drama, and the powerful woman power as Pradhan Manju Devi by Neena Gupta.
